I did mess up a little bit with these covers but nothing big. This run is 15 issues and I thought all of them were drawn by this artist, but the last 5 are someone else. So I thought I had one more issue to go before posting these. Nope!
So, Yasmine Putri did such an amazing job on these covers! The fire looks fantastic! And the black shapes and small details blend together well. And that last one is gorgeous!
They look brilliant together!
The main covers for the New History of the DC Universe! Now, I love them, but I do wish that either all the covers were wraparound ones or none were. But I do love that first wraparound. It’s just nice to see all these eras together.
Gorgeous! Thank you to Chris Samnee and Giovanna Niro!
JTC is just so good at action figure cover! So many different styles. These Godzilla character covers are fantastic!
I was going to line them in a row, but I liked this configuration.
The last set is this Godzilla with marvel character powers covers (Marvelized). These are so fun! Dave Wachter did a great job!
This would be a crazy team-up if they made a comic with these different Marvel Godzilla’s.
SO MANY COMICS. I couldn’t fit them all on the bed! I also forgot one in the first photo, hence the second photo.
We got a Marvel Holiday special. The final issue of Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe arrived (but it’s not the end of the story). We got the final issue of One World Under Doom. The first issue of a new run of Nova (probably a miniseries). New Age of Revelation titles. X-Men from the Age of Apocalypse arrived in present-day in X-Men of Apocalypse. Starship Godzilla continued. The Lion King got a comic miniseries. Lex and Joker attempt to work together in this World’s Finest issue. JLRed seem to be under new management. The Titans got a DCKO issue. We got the next Superman unlimited issue. And finally, the second DC/Marvel crossover one-shot dropped with Batman/Deadpool, with many variants, hence they got their own photo.
The next streetverse (still a weird name) variant from InHyuk Lee. And a Toy Story variant that I got solely because of Zurg being in the corner box. But also, it’s a fun cover.
The main cover is just fantastic from Mark Brooks. This is the last issue, so also the last variants. They’ll be in the next post.
InHyuk Lee and Yasmine Putri creating great art!
JTC made an amazing color bleed of AoA’s Weapon X. Fan Yang drew Blink gorgeously. Artgerm did a masterful Rogue. And Mark Brooks gave us another classic Disney animation styled cover with this Gambit.
The next Jedi Knights covers! The first one is by John Giang. Such a great cover! And the other two are the next in each of their respective sets.
The next is the final past rangers variant of this set, but I still have to get the first issue’s variant. The other is a lovely Frison cover. I’m so used to knowing her covers from the way she draws eyes, so I almost forgot that this was a variant I needed, haha.
More amazing Jenny Frison! I’m going to either frame or slab that second one.
Alessio Zonno drew Zedd and Leonardo so well! And there’s the only variant I wanted from the Lion King covers.
Nakayama and Homare respectively doing Diana proud!
Haining makes this Flash look so good! And here’s another fun creative cover for Nightwing! And I love this homage to the old DCAU.
Red Canary! Yup.
Startfire looking great from Guillem March!
These are all the Batman/Deadpool covers that I got. There were others, but I liked these the most. That first one is the main cover.
Dan Mora doing work! They both look great!
Alexander Lozano making Diana and Carol look fantastic! Sean Murphy had fun with Lobo and Wade. Bruno Redondo had Laura and Richard paired up well. Hayden Sherman brought Constantine and Stephen together. We got an homage cover from Bill Sienkiewicz. Lee Bermejo made Joker and Doom look ghoulish. A nice blue blank variant. Mark Brooks made Wanda and Zatanna look amazing!! Jim Cheung gave us another Diana and Steve cover. Jenny Frison brought it on with Ororo and Diana. And Jae Lee made Barda have some issues with Rogue. So many amazing covers! There were 11 others that I didn’t get!
Now, Batman started a new run. But apparently the Hush2 event didn’t end, they just paused it and started a new run. Very weird. So, here’s the continuing Hush event with this issue. Poison Ivy got an annual that had a Lady of the Lake theme going (no, I’m not caught up, I just knew about that already). It’s Thanksgiving in Supergirl’s book. Mr. Terrific is dealing with a god. Arthur is dealing with Darksied-related issues. Batman Beyond and Future Static Shock got a team-up miniseries! The reverse Gargoyles-Fantastic Four crossover issue came out. And a Godzilla/ TMNT crossover miniseries started! Predator: Badlands got a prequel one-shot comic. Marvel started a miniseries set in 1776. Spider-Girl’s seemingly penultimate issue dropped. Felicia’s plan isn’t going as she planned at the FF’s headquarters. Eddie is dealing with a lot during this Carnage issue. I think this is the final Red Hulk issue during the Doom event, this is an epilogue kind of issue. The Age of Revelation continues across the X-titles. The next issues of Strange Tales and Spider-Man 94 arrived. And so did the next DSTLRY title.
I love this Poison Ivy variant! Thank you Seb McKinnon. And it’s been years since I’ve had a cover by Colleen Doran, I like this Superman variant. Kara looks great in that minimalist background thanks to Amy Reeder. Whenever I see an homage to Akira, it’s a must, this CORT main cover by Daniele Di Nicuolo and Rain Beredo looks great! And that last cover has Darksied on it, so, there we go.
The main cover for this issue is so good! Nikolas Draper-Ivey always does great work. And the variant is of course by Rahzzah, and it’s amazing as usual.
The Gargoyles/ FF covers I got. The first one is the main cover by Lucio Parrillo. The non-blank is of course by Nicoletta Baldari. And the blank is the blank.
It may not be labeled as a Saturday morning cartoon cover, but Galloway did a great job with this cartoon cover! I remember watching that animated Godzilla show, and of course the 90’s TMNT show too. A blank for this too.
A background foil cover from David Nakayama! It looks great! And I also ordered the second printing of this comic since it seems to be a non-foil version of this cover.
Both Jenny Frison and InHyuk Lee doing Sue Storm good. They both look amazing!
I like the main cover of this for the legacy aspect of showing Eddie’s past. And it’s weird seeing Carnage in a coat, haha.
The next Spider-Man ‘94 JTC variant and the animation variant!
I’m so happy we got a third movie from this franchise! It was as magical as the other two. Do I still love the first one the best? I think so, but I still really enjoyed this.
The returning cast all were as wonderful as they were previously. They all felt like they just slipped back into their roles from 14 years ago.
The new cast was fun to get to know. Ariana Greenblatt and Justice Smith I’ve seen in many movies or shows over the past few years, so I expected their acting chops. But I haven’t seen anything that Dominic Sessa has been in, so he was the character that I had to get used to more than the other two. I wouldn’t say no to learning more about them each in a future movie, though these movies don’t spend a lot of time on the people themselves, so I don’t really expect more of that. But I enjoyed them in these roles.
And the antagonist was a good foil to the team. Their story wasn’t so complicated or anything, but still a good character.
The visuals were mesmerizing of course. As with the other two movies, I would love to see the behind the scenes of all the tricks, beyond when we actually see the tricks shown to us.
I certainly look forward to whatever May come next or this franchise, though I’d hope to not have to wait another 14 years for the next one!

Mid-credit scene: Nope
End-credit scene: Nope
But, the last scenes of the movie hint at more, just as the others have beforehand.
Javier Garrón and Jesus Aburtov did an amazing job on this connecting cover set! AANNDD, this is one of the best connecting sets I’ve had so far. The last comic is a tiny bit misalignment, but other than that a a bit color coordination issues, it’s close to perfect!
The whole image looks so fantastic! I can’t wait to get to this event!
Still happy to see Inque in Birds of Prey. It seems to be a stressful time for Pamela. Cheetah and Cheshire are butting heads in their comic. Harley and Ivy got a miniseries finally showing us the journey of their love-story from the beginning! We got one of the DCKO spin-off’s Knightfight. Doctor Who got a new run! Miles Morales got to this run’s 40th issue! We got the next batch of Age of Revelation issues via all these issue two’s. Spinning out of Imperial, we got a new miniseries Planet She-Hulk. Echo got a new one-shot. And the next issue of White House Robot Romance dropped.
A colorful DSTLRY cover.
David Aja and the bat-gadget cover.
Inque! I still am happy and intrigued at the fact that Inque is in a present day set comic. These covers are fantastic!
New artist drawing Pamela! Zeen Chin did a wonderful job! Absolute Green Lantern and Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League both got Andolfo variants. Absolute Superman got a cool cover from Bengal. And Barends did a great Superman cover too.
Love these variants! Elizabeth Torque and Sabine Rich collaborated on this first cover. Szerdy did a fun ice cream date cover! and Leirix did a fun cover too.
This is the cover for which I got that poster last time. Such a great Dan Mora cover. And I love this Dogma themed design from Erik Pflueger!
As with previous Doctor Who comic runs, we got a photo variant. And apparently the other cover is an homage cover but I don’t know what to. If someone knows, let me know!
Porter Engle is one of my favorite High Republic designs, so I’m always happy to see him on a cover. And I love Layla’s modern design on this Moon Knight cover.
The next batch of Ultimate X-Men covers!
I love Maystorm. Yup.
So, this Black Panther variant is one of the 20 variants from InHyuk Lee. He did street clothed variants for AAPI month for a couple years and now he got to do street-verse covers for more than just AAPI characters. I can’t wait to see them all together! And I love this Avengers homage cover themed on Toy Story.
Ashley Witter did a great job with this cover! Such detail and colors!
Jen looks great drawn by Jenny Frison. She also looks great drawn by InHyuk Lee too.
I love David Mack’s art. And Carmen Carnero drew this cool Echo cover. I do like that outfit.
We got a new Superman one-shot anthology. And the first story is drawn by Mirka Andolfo and written by PAUL DINI himself!! Supernatural has finally gotten a new comic book series for the first time since 2012! I never read any of the previous runs, so this was fun news to see when it popped up on the list of comics to subscribe to a couple months ago. Aphra has a sister!? This is the final issue of Death of the Silver Surfer. We got the next Black Cat issue (So happy that G. Gillow Wilson is writing this title). The final issue of Runaways dropped. The finale of the Imperial event also arrived. And we got four more new Age of Revelation comics.
I added this to my creative covers section, but still not sure if it should be there. But eh. It’s a fun cover and I enjoy the colors.
Each issue gets a photo cover. Though I wonder why they didn’t use a season 1 photo since this miniseries takes place during season 1. And of course a blank cover.
A fun homage cover! Well, not fun for Gwen.
Three fantastic variants! Gurihiru, Hicham Habchi and Mirka Andolfo covers. Mirka’s is a Tron variant.
Always happy to see an Infinity Gauntlet homage cover. And I’m very happy that Kamala is in this team so that she’ll be on covers.
Great Dagger covers by Talavera and Nakayama respectively.
New month, so a bit more late items which are less late than delayed in my purchasing of. These two DWM issues from months ago, Hello Darkness volume 1, a foil facsimile issue of COIE’s, a 20th anniversary Revenge of the Sith book, the first volume of the Ahsoka show comic adaptation, and late comics.
Love the Taurin Clarke cover with Gargoyles and Fantastic Four. I wanted another copy of Jedi Knights 8 since Kelleran Beq is there. Got a great Spears cover of The Flash. Another Clarke cover for this Green Arrow issue. The foil COIE’s cover looks fantastic! And David Nakayama’s art on the Ahsoka volume looks amazing of course. And the Revenge of the Sith anniversary book looks great.
The duo of characters we had was a great team. And the side characters and creatures added so much to the world. The story was as advertised and flowed pretty well. The movie actually went by faster than I thought it would.
Elle Fanning is so good! I can’t remember the last project I saw her in but it was a while ago. She brought a good amount of humor and heart to the darkness and action of the movie.
Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi did a fantastic job as the main Predator. I mean, I don’t know what filming was like, if he said his lines in English or if he literally had to learn the Yautja language that was made for the movie, but either way, it was great to watch.
The visuals were amazing of course. I may have to see this again in IMAX 3D. The opening shot was totally a good shot for 3D.
I was wondering if we’d see some particular creatures, and we didn’t, but that’s fine. But I wonder what’s next for this franchise beyond the upcoming AVP movie and whatever is branching out of the Killer of Killers ending.
So, since Rebirth Nightwing started doing really creative covers I’ve been loving them. There are 10 covers before Jorge Fornés started doing these kinds of covers too. These have so many different unexpected designs! And I didn’t realize that last week’s issue was the last cover by him specifically. Look at these! I may do a collection post for the 10 covers before these just because. We’ll see. I think I like the second and fourth covers her the best out of these.
I hope he returns to this title at some point! But I also love that I’ve seen him on a couple other titles recently.
Finally! I’m happy to have all the covers in this Nathan Szerdy set! I normally get specific themed covers from his online store directly, but sometimes I see covers I just want asap. These pairs of awesome female heroines are just great!
I love how these all look side-by-side! These would have been a cool connecting variant set! I may actually end up displaying these framed like this at some point.
The next set should have been the main cover of this title, but since I didn’t get other copies of it, that’ll have to wait till the next CVS post.
These are the fantastic Dan Mora variants that also show the legacy of each character on the cover. Now, I do wonder why the picks for the characters on here were made. It feels weird to not have Superman on one of these beyond the background images. But I still love these so much!
I think I like the Diana or Wally covers best. I certainly wish there were more of these!
Okay, so, I always get apprehensive about connecting covers as y’all know. This set wasn’t too bad, mostly overlap and one or two gaps. I think that for some of these wraparound connecting cover sets, they should really be wraparound multi gatefold covers. But also, I just want them to perfect how they print connecting covers, it really is disappointing to see these amazing designs being given a disservice.
Anyway, I love these Scott Koblish and HiFi covers! Seeing all this history on these is fantastic. And seeing some of the characters evolve as the design goes on is great!
Though, in the last cover, I can’t seem to see Dreamer nor Red Canary, but there are a lot of characters and one character does kind of look like Dreamer, but not sure.
The wraparounds
The whole thing! Yes it’s wobbly because I took it via a panoramic.
