Project Hail Mary (March 20, 2026) Saw it today

Amazing as the hype made it out to be!

This was just wonderful! I loved it! A fantastic job by directors Lord and Miller. And of course Ryan Gosling was brilliant too.

I have the same feelings I had after watching Arrival and Interstellar and other film like those. The wonder of space and the possibilities of science and such.

The score and music included were amazing of course. and the visuals were as gorgeous as anything.

The tone of the movie was heartfelt. And even though I did feel the length of the movie, I welcomed it because I loved being with the characters so much.

I’m so glad I got to see this in a theater and in IMAX.

Mid-credit scene: Nope

End-credit scene: Nope

The Drama (April 3, 2026) saw it today

Wow. Well, I didn’t know anything about this movie at all, and that certainly made the subject matter a shock.

It was a fantastic movie though. It certainly got deep into the main characters and went hard at all the feelings and such happening.

The actors all did brilliant jobs with this movie. The emotions were intense and loud. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson were amazing.

I’d perhaps suggest looking up the movie, like a synopsis or something to maybe prepare you for it. incase it could trigger you.

It was an intense movie that I will probably look up a bit to see what the inspiration for it was and stuff.

Mid-credit scene: No

End-credit scene: No

Hoppers (March 6, 2026) saw it today in 3D

Pixar movies just have a way of hitting you. This was a fantastic movie.

First of all, it was fun in 3D. The story was wonderful, the score was emotional and powerful. The characters were relatable and enjoyable. Also, the animation itself was fantastic as usual for Pixar.

The cast did such a great job with the voices. Some names I know, others I don’t. Some people really know how to really emote doing animation.

The plot was a relatively simple one and it grew and grew. The heart of the main character was so strong. And the climax of her feelings really hits you if you can relate to what she’s feeling.

I really enjoyed this.

Mid-credit scene: Yup, a fun little scene. Also some animation in the credits.

End-credit scene: Yup! A short and sweet one.

You, Me & Tuscany (April 10, 2026) saw it today

This was such a cute movie!

It was an enjoyable romcom with a gorgeous setting and certainly made me hungry for Italian food.

The acting was fantastic, I loved the characters! Each new person we met had a great presence in their role.

The time went by so quickly! The music was enjoyable and it was just a fun watch. The plot is a familiar structure but still entertaining.

Mid-credit scene: Nope. But there are bloopers of two particular scenes.

End-credit scene: Nope.

Completed Variant Sets 35 — April 10, 2026

These are the Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding variants for Jedi Knights.

As usual, they look great!

A nice connecting cover set by Guillem March that have a little overlap but almost connect properly.

Also slightly misaligned. But they do look nice together.

These are the ACO connecting set. They all look great!

But of course. The connecting aspect is horribly printed. I showed this design as a vertical image and a horizontal one since they both work. But yes. The first and last issues have a huge chunk of design missing between the next and precious issues respectively. And yet, the middle issues connect decently enough? So very strange.

Added 4 boxes. So we’re at 117 now!

March 25, 2026

Jigsaw showed his, uh, face, in this Punisher issue. Ultimate Endgame continued. Invincible Woman’s reign of terror continued. The mystery behind Kamala’s next death continued in Inglorious X-Force. Death Spiral continued. We got our next MCU tie-in with Fantastic Four First Foes. We got a new High Republic miniseries started with Pathfinder. Green Lantern got to its 600th issue! Superboy-Prime took over the Superman comic. The villains joined the Justice League in JLU. And we got the next DC/Marvel crossover issue with Superman/Spider-Man 1. Now, there are a lot of variants that I got, but just the variants alone will add $100 to my receipt, so I’m going to wait till May to bring them home. So, you’ll have to wait to see which of the many many variants that I got.

The next Marvel Presents variant of a character reading a Marvel comic.

The main cover and variant for Ultimate Endgame 3 with Maystorm featured.

The next Sai main Momoko variant.

The next Werneck and Leirix cover and variant respectively for Wiccan.

More Knull covers. The main one by Ryan Stegman, the next one by Geoff Shaw and the homage one by Davide Paratore.

The next Jod Jusko variant and a fantastically creepy Swaby variant.

The next bunch of Psylocke covers. The first one by InHyuk Lee, the next amazing one by Aka and the last one by Taurin Clarke.

The next Coello connecting cover and a lovely Besch variant of MJ.

So many variants!

The main (wraparound) cover is by Xermànico.

The first variant is of the brand new costume design for Kyle Rayner designed by David Nakayama! Then is the Aja variant. Then the symbol variant. Xermànico also did the corner box foil variant next.

Of course we also got a Koblish variant!

And then a fantastic glow-in-the-dark variant by Guillem March. Surprisingly no blank variant.

We got the next Harley variants. Main by Nakayama, first variant by Guillem March, paying homage to a famous painting, the next by Aset Kairambayev. And the final one by Leirix of course.

The main cover for this, by Hayden Sherman and Jordie Bellaire, has Absolute Zatanna on it so, yup.

Another issues with a bunch of variants, these are the ones I got.

The first one is another of the wraparound video game variant by Juan Ferreyra.

This amazing variant is by Taurin Clarke.

And Rod Reis gave us two variants with Superboy Prime reading two different comics.

This cover is here simply because of the Washington DC.

March 18, 2026

The Vishanti paid a visit to Wanda. The Danger Room continued to baffle the X-Men. Death Spiral carried on. Sentry got a new run started. The Titans title got a new team of Titans and a new title for the same comic! A new arc started in Absolute Flash, Nightwing, and Superman Unlimited. Batwoman, (The Main Man) Lobo, and Deathstroke all started new runs under the new DC banner called Next Level!!

This is such a great main cover by CAFU!

These are such fantastic covers for Sorcerer Supreme!

The main cover has the Vishanti on it, which is awesome. The next one is the Dauterman variant. After that is an homage variant to the original Secret Wars #12 (1984). The last one is a gorgeous one by Alex Maleev.

I love the AoA Sabretooth design. I also love the Magneto design. The former is by Joe Madureira and the latter is the next Brooks animated variant.

And look at that, another Maleev cover! This time it’s for Sentry’s new run. And then a second printing of the Magik and Colossus #1. The next is such an unexpected cover! Fox Mask Killer vs Invincible by Michael Walsh! And the last one is a Super Creepshow cover that’s is an homage of Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962).

The next Frank Cho, W. Scott Forbes and Leirix Catwoman covers respectively.

Taurin Clarke did such an amazing job at the main cover for this Titans issue. I don’t think that I’ve seen a Stephen Byrne cover before, I love this cover of Starfire and Nightwing.

Daniel Sampere & Tomeu Morey did a great job on this main cover for this issue. And of course there’s the next Nakayama variant for Wonder Woman.

Here’s the next Fornés cover for Nightwing.

The next variants for Superman Unlimited. ACO’s connecting variant and Ratcha Lin’s gorgeous variant which just looks like animation.

So many amazing covers for this issue!

We have a Stjepan Šejić variant, normal and foil versions of Artgerm’s variant, Jorge Corona and Sarah Stern’s variant and finally, a blank variant.

Lobo looks amazing on this Eom variant! And there’s the blank variant.

All the Deathstroke, all the time! All amazing covers!

The main one is by Carmine Di Giandomenico. The next one (and the foil cover) is by the fantastic Dan Panosian! The third one is another by Eom. Jorge Corona and Sarah Stern also gave us the next cover. And then of course there’s the blank variant.

This infamous date on this World’s Finest variant by Szerdy. And here’s the foil variant of by Dan Mora.

Completed Variant Sets 34 — March 25, 2026

Connecting variants first, as always. though, only one set is non-connecting covers.

Russell Dauterman just is amazing. These covers look fantastic! And yet, the connections are both misaligned and overlapping. It’s frustrating since it’s such a great design.

This looks just glorious, just don’t look too closely between the covers. I’d buy a poster of this.

Kaare Andrews did a great job on this design! This also is an overlap problem, but even when next to each other normally, it’s passable.

This design just looks so good.

Stefano Caselli deserved SO MUCH BETTER than what Marvel did to this design. But these covers are fantastic.

This was an overlap issue. And it just looks far too noticeable to have next to each other normally. But this design is great to look at. I can’t remember if I got the poster of this from the store, I think they just hung it up at the store.

And these are all the covers by Stjepan Šejiić for Sonja Reborn.

I (unsurprisingly) love his art!!

Added just one new box, a Darkseid covers box. So, we’re at 113 boxes.

March 11, 2026

Reign of the Superboys started. Aquaman is the Emperor. We got a new run for Usagi with Kaito. We got a food-related special that was supposed to be released in November. We got an X-Men special. Death Spiral continued. We also got a new title with Imperial Guardians. And Jessica Jones got a new Alias miniseries.

This main cover is by Will Conrad and Matt Herms. I like it for the legacy of the character on it.

The next Supergirl covers! The main cover and variants.

The main cover is of course by Dan Mora. Everyone looks amazing on it. ACO is doing a set of vertical connecting variants. Though, I already see a big printing issue with it. Dékal made Kara look amazing in the next variant. The next one is the next Leirix WHM variant. We got the logo variant. And then the Jiménez corner box foil cover looks fantastic!

The next Leirix variant. And Mirka Andolfo did this next gorgeous variant!

The next Sirens covers. The main and variants. I liked this Derrick Chew variant of Ivy. And the last variant is the next Lotay connecting variant.

This cover by Eduardo Mello I actually got accidentally, but it’s still a fun cover!

Love this Momoko variant! And this variant by Giuseppe Camuncoli is fun, I got it because Kamala is on there. Funnily enough, this variant was shown as the main cover for a while and then it got moved to the B cover.

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a Kendrick Lim cover. This looks great!

The main cover and variants for this issue that I got. The connecting covers are by Stefano Caselli. Now, I don’t know why they didn’t make this a wraparound cover. It would have been better than making the connecting part also a variant of the main cover. It’s just weird. Also, well, you’ll see in the next post. But the design looks great! Emma Frost looks amazing in both the Forbes variant and the Momoko variant respectively.

I mean look at these!!

Taurin Clarke made Ororo look amazing on this homage variant. And the Fan Yang variant looks great too!

I love seeing the cover that’s being paid homage to on the back of the variant. I’ve said that before, but it’s just great. And yeah. The Fan Yang variant looks so elegant.

I don’t often see Talavera doing characters with no human-like faces. This just looks so good!

David Mack. On the main cover for this Alias run. Amazing! I love all the main covers that I’ve seen so far! The first variant here is by JeeHyung Lee, it looks so good! And the last variant is a fantastic Vecchio variant!

Posters! This Jamal Campbell cover for the main cover poster is fantastic!

And here’s the David Mack cover poster!
