Completed Variant Set 37 — April 30, 2026

This is the Iban Coello connecting set! Each of them look great individually, and they do look good together.

I did my best with connecting them, as usual, some connect vertically, some connect horizontally. There is a variant that has all the designs on it, but it costs $100. It’s still not a bad 9-cover connecting set compared to other sets.

April 22, 2026

Superboy Prime is having fun. A new Image title started called In Your Skin. Hello Darkness got a spin-off called Hello Body Horror. Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge got a new title subtitled Echoes of the Empire. Dormammu visits the Sorcerer Supreme. We got the next Rogue issue featuring Sabretooth. The Death Spiral event ended. We got a new title called The Amazing Spider-Man: Spider-versity. And we got Spider-Man/Superman 1 as the continuation of the previous crossover.

I really love this dynamic Flash cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli. It just looks so cool. And the Absolute Flash variant is by John Timms. The last one is a character reading a comic cover by Cary Nord.

This is another Frison variant and a blank variant.

The next Sorcerer Supreme covers. The main cover is of course by Leirix, the first variant is by Dauterman and the last one is a Fanyang.

This is a great looking variant of Ultimate Sabretooth by Stefano Caselli.

This is the final Coello connecting variant. And then another Nakayama color block variant.

April 15, 2026

The next Jessica Jones issue. Same with X-Force (with another main cover without Kamala for no good reason). Venom 257 is the penultimate issue of the Death Spiral event. This is the final issue of Ultimate Wolverine. The Thundercats villain Mumm-Ra got his own miniseries. The Titans are having growing pains. Nightwing is targeted. And the next Next Level titles dropped their issues.

The amazing next David Mack main cover and a Marvel Comics Presents variant by Joëlle Jones.

A simple physical 4th wall break design by R.B. Silva and colored by David Curiel.

The main cover and connecting cover for this issue. The main cover is by E.J. Su, I just like the way Carnage is drawn and colored. The variant is the Coello variant.

The next Shredder variants, by Alberto Jiménez Albuquerque and Issac Goodhart respectively.

The animated variant for Mumm-Ra 1 and the blank variant.

This Super Creepshow cover is an homage cover. I still can’t remember what this design is paying homage to. I think it’s a Batman cover.

The next Catwoman covers.

I don’t think I have any covers by this artist, but it looks fantastic! This is by Manny Vincent Carbonilla.

Two Titans variants. The Raven one is part of a set, but I only wanted Raven. This is by Ethan Young. And the other variant is by Stephen Byrne.

Dike Ruan did a great job with this cover.

Jorge Fornés did this main cover. And Nakayama gave us this Nightwing cover.

The next Stjepan Šejić variant and a fantastic Frison variant.

I feel like it’s been a while since I got a Sweeney Boo variant. This is a fun Lobo design.

The next Deathstroke variants. The first by Dan Panosian, the second by Tyler Kirkman & Arif Prianto, and the third one is by Guillem March.

April 2026 Late Issues

All the things are late but eh.

I got a copy of the 48th printing of the first volume of One Piece that was printed in 2025. And I forgot to include the Echoes of the Empire variant by Gist in the main photo. And of course I finally got the variants of the Superman/ Spider-Man special from a month or two ago.

I still want to buy a box set of the manga, but I wanted to have this volume just because it was the most recent printing. It’s just crazy that it’s on its 48th printing.

Here is the main cover and all the variants that I liked. There are a bunch of other variants too.

The main cover is by Jiménez. The next is a Jim Lee cover (also by Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair). Then Mike Janín. Next of course is an Artgerm cover. Then a wraparound Koblish and Hi-Fi variant. Next was a fantastic Nakayama variant. And the next one with Superboy Prime on it was by Daniel Sampere and Tomeu Morey. Then the punk variant by Jeff Spokes. A blank variant of course. The penultimate one is by Jiménez and Morey. And the final one is by David Talaski. I love all these covers!

Such a dynamic cover! Especially that back cover!

It’s such a simple design. It works so well.

Such a classic-looking design.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 ( April 30, 2026)

Well, that was a fantastic movie!

I loved seeing the characters again. And the new ones were great too! the returning characters felt the same as when we first met them but also changed. And the new ones were refreshing.

The story was the expectedly twisty and turny. A couple things I saw coming but I was a bit late on others. The pacing was good, I felt the time in the theater, but since I was happy to be back in this world, I didn’t mind it at all. And there was one moment that I was so happy for and I did tear up from. Well deserved indeed.

There were times that the music was a bit overpowering, but it didn’t happen much.

There were of course many fashion cameos, only one of which I recognized. The same person that I recognized in the first movie, haha.

This was such an enjoyable movie. If you enjoyed the first one, then you will probably enjoy this too.

Mid-credit scene: Nope.

End-credit scene: Nope.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (April 1, 2026) — saw it today

That was such a fun movie!

Saw it in RealD 3D. The visuals were fun in 3D. And the animation was of course fantastic.

The actors all did great jobs in their roles, new and returning. It was nice to be back in this world again. There’s one scene introducing a new character (one that made people excited when it was revealed online) and there a fantastic 2D animation sequence explaining his backstory, and I really would like a 2D animated movie for that character that leads to a normal CG second and third act, or just third act.

The story was unsurprising as it’s how this IP works. But it was nice to see connections to what we’ve seen before. And as I don’t know tons about the Mario IP, it was enjoyable to learn things as I went. Having said that, I have no idea if details are the same or different in the game lore.

The movie went by quickly, but didn’t feel rushed. And of course the comedy was enjoyable. Fun call-backs and some new stuff.

The one odd thing was the way it ended. the final moments of the main movie ended on such an abrupt note. I expected a more natural conclusion. I’ve seen this happen with TV-movies where there isn’t a wrapping-up things up kind of ending, the movie just stops. I don’t tend to like the lack of closure.

All-in-all, this was such a fun movie to see in theaters, I’m glad that I got to enjoy it on the big screen!

Mid-credit scene: Yes. A fun and slightly creepy scene.

End-credit scene: Yes. Setting up what’s to come next (similar to how the Sonic movies end revealing the next new character).

April 8, 2026

Young Clark meets some of the future Justice League in Action comics. Something rage-filled is happening in Green Lantern Corps. There is a Kara cyborg. We got a Firestorm miniseries started. Black Cat has some trouble within the Siege Perilous. There seems to be a lot going on for the Uncanny X-Men in both the main issue and the annual. We have a new other Venom in a one-shot. And the next issue of Maul’s comic dropped.

Nathan Szerdy drew and colored this cover so well!

We get the first of these lantern emotional spectrum names on this Jorge Fornés set. And here’s the next Gonzales variant.

I always love seeing a Villalobos cover, look at that! And that Swaby cover is great too!

The next cover and variant for Sirens.

Always happy for a blank variant. Look at that Frison variant! It’s creepy and fantastic! And it’s always fun to see Mephisto on the The End 2099 cover.

The next Momoko cover and a great Allred variant!

It’s always fun to see the title on a cover to be destroyed by something on the cover design. It’s a great Hughes cover. And this Anka variant is gorgeous.

I feel like it’s been a while since I got a Simone Di Meo cover. Hela looks great!

Another Ultimate Farewell cover, but this one I got for Maystorm. And here’s the next color block variant.

Dani looks spectacular on this Frisian variant.

The next Death Spiral connecting variant and color block variant.

I really like this character design. It reminds me very much of the Spider-Carnage design from the 90’s animated series. The main cover is by Stefano Caselli and Frederico Blee. The design variant is by Vecchio. And the other variant is of course a Momoko.

This is the next headshot variant by Aka. And the Gist variant of Dinn looks great!

Here’s the poster of the Werneck cover! It looks so good!

April 1, 2026

We got a MAD Magazine DC issue. Batman/Superman World’s Finest got to its 50th issue of this run. Kevin Smith is giving us a Bizarro miniseries! A new Alien title started. Also, a new MTG comic started focusing on the Planeswalker Jace. We got a Deadpool April Fool’s Day special. Wonder Man got a new run along with Daredevil getting a new run! Captain Marvel got a new miniseries! And the Eternals got a 50th Anniversary special!

This is a fantastic 1:25 incentive cover of Ivy for this Batman issue by David Aja. I’ve mentioned these 1:25 covers before that my store mostly doesn’t get if they don’t have the amount. So, it was nice that this issue got through.

These Poison Ivy variants look fantastic! The first is by Eom. The second by Manny Vincent Carbonilla. The dark and light colors look amazing!

I tend to like Christian Ward covers that are more landscapes or psychedelic designs, but that dragon looks cool! And the JSA variant is simply because of Spectre.

The variants for this commemorative issue.

Dan Mora is just so good!

The 50 design looks great! Adrián Gutiérrez did a great job! Vasco Georgiev drew Babs and Kara really well. And I always love seeing Batman Beyond TAS-style designs like this Ty Templeton one.

I love the way that Nick Pitarra and Michael Garland drew and colored the Bizarro Earth. And the other variant is one of the two Weird Al Yankovich cameo variants by Dan Mora.

This is the next of the Nakayama color block variants. This is, of course, the white cover set within the set. And the next variant is a Momoko cover that’s saying farewell to the Ultimate Universe.

Such a great Luciano Vecchio variant of Stephen and Angela.

The next Nakayama color block variant. And this is the next connecting cover.

A fun headshot variant by Phil Noto.

Some of the many variants for this new run’s number 1.

We have another Marvel Studios concept art variant by Jackson Sze of Muse. The next one is one from the 250th Anniversary of the United States by Greg Land. I love this Momoko variant of Daredevil. And I got a blank variant of course. And finally, a great dynamic variant by Dan Panosian.

When I first saw this cover revealed online, I thought that it was a Jen Bartel cover. I was excited to think that she’d returned to comics. But then I realized that it was a Werneck cover. It still looks fantastic! And the next cover is the next Nakayama color block variant. And another 250th Anniversary variant by Joelle Jones.

And the Celestials look fantastic on this ACO variant.

March 2026 Late Issues 3

All variants. The top three are second printing covers for Absolute Wonder Woman 16. The animation variants for Escape From Skull Island 1 and 2. And another copy of the homage cover for that Storm issue.

For longer than I’d like to, while sorting these piles, I thought that this first cover was just the first printing. Then I realized that the title was different and remembered that it was a second printing cover. The Guillem March variant looks great in foil. And the Mark Brooks cover is Absolutely gorgeous. So-much-so that I bought a graded copy of the issue on eBay a few minutes after taking the photo.
