Here are almost all the rest of the issues from last week that were late.
So much Star Wars this week! 4 High Republic titles that had various delays and two Marvel published ones. Spider-Boy and Daredevil take on Bullseye! X-Men drama continues. Star Wars got a special to celebrate a decade since these Marvel punished Star Wars comics started! It’s crazy I’ve been collecting comics a bit longer than that by a year or so.
Next week will have a movie review!
The next Galactus What If cover! an amazing Leirix cover of Illyana. Wade and his daughter on his returning comic. Again, I think he should have been gone longer. Or at least give her her own comic. And another copy of the Storm Lifedream main cover.
Okay. So, there was a shipping problem so most of the Marvel issues weren’t there. Just some of the variants were there. Though all the DC issues were there. The missing covers should be there next week or so. So that post of late issues will be similar to a normal post since it’ll be so many issues.
Of course there not much to say with these since there aren’t many issues. We’re getting another Green Lanterns run soon, so this will lead to that. We got another DC Valentine’s Day special! And Lex got a special too that ties into the Superman title. What if Galactus had chosen Spider-Gwen? Read that issue! Wade is back from his slight hiatus! Though to be honest, I wouldn’t have been mad at his daughter being the main character in the title for a full year before he came back. But that’s also because I really like Ellie’s costume as y’all know. Storm got a special to celebrate her 50th Anniversary! And we got the next Sweet Paprika Open for Business issue.
I love this Green Lantern cover!
More Galactus covers!
Love this Deadpool cover! And look at this Psylocke variant! Hypnotizing, no? And I love this homage cover! Though I do wish they’ve had more covers that had all the other former FF members as the X-Men were on that iconic X-Men gatefold cover.
NSFW cover warning.
The next bunch of Sweet Paprika Open for Business covers!
Okay. There were so many issues that the two DSTLRY issues I got wouldn’t fit on the bed! Just you wait for next week’s post!
Selina is being busy as ever. Harley and Clayface have an adventure. Diana and the Wonder Girl’s are standing their ground. Flash seemingly has some Skartaris troubles brewing. Power Girl has a new costume! Clark’s Doomsday problem continues. The ATOM Project gets started in JLU. We got the next Galactus What If issue where he chose Rogue. More TVA shenanigans. We got the next issue of Kid Venom. Between Iron Man and her own issue, Wanda is having quite a hard time. We got the final issue from the Battle of Jakku! We got an X-Men special focusing on Xavier’s secret. Spider-Man’s next death dropped. And the FF are dealing with the One World Under Doom event starting! And we also got the next couple DSTLRY issues.
The next two DSTLRY covers.
I forgot that that Catwoman cover was by two artists. And two that I already liked! Frank Cho and Sabine Rich! And that JLU cover is by the wonderful Nathan Szerdy of course! This Matthia De Iulis cover of Absolute Wonder Woman is just stunning!
Another fantastic Nakayama Harley cover! And of course the next fun Fornés cover.
Ehem. DOOMSDAY!! When I saw these covers in the previews, I knew I needed them. Y’all know of my love for this character. And these both look amazing!
Such great covers! This is the next legacy cover, representing Power Rangers Turbo. And this cover of the Prime Ranger looks amazing!
Love this main cover! Donatello and Naruto look awesome! And I loved this variant of the Ichiraku Ramen restaurant with them all eating back there. I wonder if I can replicate it with figures…
NSFW Warning
Look at this NSFW cover by the ever-amazing Jenny Frison!! It’s just a beautiful cover. The details are pristine.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to get this cover but I just deceived to go for it. I’m glad I did, because it’s just amazing!
More What If Galactus covers!
I just liked the magic swirl on here!
And in case there wasn’t enough Wanda, she’s in Iron Man too. I love this cover of Wanda! I still want a Marvel Legends figure of her in this costume! I love this Infinity Gauntlet homage cover!
Look at these Phoenix covers! The main cover is just intense! The homage cover is well-done! I LOVE Artgerm, and I LOVE the classic design for Lady Sif! So getting both together was just such an amazing combo. And I love that last cover too, so simple and intense but also delicate.
Another Windowshades cover! And look at Galactus!
A great bunch of FF covers! I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve gotten a Phil Noto cover, I liked this one. And that homage cover is so fun! And of course look at this great Disney cover! And I love that I have another Galacta cover like the SDCC one I got last year.
Late issues from the past month or so. The Catwoman variant is from a few months ago. The Action Comics main cover is from last month. And all the other issues are from two weeks ago.
This main cover is just for the Super family mostly all being on there. The Rogue variant is a shot from the recent X-Men ‘97 animated series. And I just really liked the art of this New Gods cover.
More What If Galactus transformed _______ covers. Including a fun homage cover.
I think this is the final issue for Jenny Sparks. The Green Lanterns got a one-shot special setting up the next era for them all. We got another What if Galactus focusing on Moon Knight. The next issue of Alien Paradiso dropped. We got the next issue of the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series tie-in comic. That show starts in a week! The new Ultimate universe’s Wolverine got a title. T’Challa has his eyes on Miles. A new era of artists starts for Thor. Storm’s next issue drops, it has quite the ending (yes, I flipped through it)! Electra and Laura butt heads. And we got a new miniseries set when Rogue lived in The Savage Land. And we got a new title started with DSTLRY.
A nice minimalistic cover for this title.
The next batch of What if Galactus covers! Including that last one being an homage cover of Tales to Astonish 9 (1959).
Angela and Hela look amazing on these variants!! Lucas Werneck did an amazing job with Starlord’s sister! And Jan Bazaldua made Hela look fantastic.
Such great covers for Storm! I forgot to take a photo of this homage cover. And of course that’s another cover with a character reading a comic. And of course another Nakayama cover!
I mean LOOK how amazing Ororo looks in this cover!
And again, there are so many amazing covers for this new Rogue run. These were the ones I chose. The main cover looks great. The Dauterman character design is fantastic! Adam Hughes did a great foil cover and J. Scott Campbell made a wonderful cover too.
This is such an intriguing acetate cover for New Gods 2!
We got a new Aquaman run. We got another Disney-themed What If comic and another Galactus What If issue. Electra’s Daredevil got a new run! Uncanny X-Men ends this mini event. Some interesting villains in Wolverine. Magik got a new run! And we got a new title called New Champions. At first, when I first saw this title was coming, months ago, I wasn’t sure what to think about it. The current Champions are still a team and are still teenagers. So I was very apprehensive of this new team. I did have to flip through it to see if there was anything connecting to the other Champions. It did not. So I wasn’t sure I was going to like this title whenever I get to reading it. But. I did see that they do touch upon that conflict with both teams in issue three. So, I feel better about it now. It just seemed like so many new characters being introduced that I thought it would be too much.
Hello new Aquaman run! The main cover and the foil cover.
Foil!
I got this variant because the artist usually does anthropomorphic animals and this just seemed like a perfect what if cover for her. Fantastic work from Chrissie Zullo Uminga.
This is such a great homage cover based on the iconic Web of Spider-Man 32 (1987), one of the Kraven’s Last Hunt covers.
Look at these amazing variants for this new run! The first by Stephanie Hans and the second one by Joshua ‘Sway’ Swaby! Gorgeous!
I was so happy that Kamala is on both these variants! Such fun covers!
There were so many wonderful Magik variants to choose from, I chose the ones I loved most!
I’m always happy to see design variants. The second one is by the wonderful JeeHyung Lee, such a great dynamic pose. And of course, there’s the wonderful Nakayama cover!! That also is one of the designs that got to be on the short box made from the main cover also.
Such great covers for these new champions! The first one I got because it shows all the characters. The second cover is paying homage to Champions 1 (2016). The third one is of course by Artgerm, brilliant as always. And the wonderful Peach Momoko did the fourth cover.
Happy New Year!! I wish whoever reads this a wonderful year! And if it’s past this year when you’re reading this, I hope you had a good 2025 that year!
We got the next Galactus What If story. The Ahsoka adaptation continued. Felicia joins the Avengers, briefly, I’m sure. Cable got a miniseries spinning out of Timeslide. Bruce is having a tough time. Ivy seemingly is also. Is that a giant Mr. Mind or a tiny Shazam? The Birds of Prey be preying. And we got a new title called Justice League: The Atom Project starring three atomic-related heroes.
There will be some posters at the end of this!
So many Galacti! That second one is my favorite of the bunch. The last one is a fun homage cover, and it’s one of the ones that shows the original on the back!
I really like the main cover of this issue, the details on the faces in the slash and her face are just so good! And the variant is just a fun and intimidating couple cover!
As before, love these Ahsoka covers and need the rest!
Love these covers! Taurin Clarke did a fantastic job with the main cover! I will always get a Mr. Garcin cover, I love collage covers.
I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve gotten a Dan Hipp cover! This Batman one is fun. And I love that these next three are all themed together even though they’re all different titles. The Birds of Prey variant is just gorgeous, the Black Canary variant is stunning and dynamic, and the Batgirl cover is elegant!
Another amazing Spears cover!
More wonderful Ivy covers! Of course Frison covers are a mainstay. This next one was the only intentional Sweater Weather variant I got since Pam looks great! The Dan Hipp cover is also part of the set, but I didn’t know nor intend to get it at first.
Posters! Creature Commandos is such an amazing show! The writing and art and acting is all brilliant! A wonderful start to James Gunn’s DCU!
Such great main covers for both Magik and Rogue’s titles! I’m happy to have them as posters!
Happy Christmas! Also, I’m extremely late with these posts!
Whatever is happening in Action Comics continues to intrigue me! Also, I wonder where Flash is with that giant worm thing. Oliver’s having a time on that cover. Doomsday is soon to return! JLU continues. And Metamorpho got a new run, probably to prep kids for him appearing in the Superman movie later this year. All sorts of chaos seems to be happening in the X-titles. And Sabretooth got a new run! Both Peter and Tony are in the middle of their own events. Kidpool and Spider-Boy got a one-shot. And we got the next anthology of what’s to come in Marvel this year with Timeslide.
The main cover and the Spears variant that connects to the variant from last issue.
I liked this main cover because it showed all these villains from Clark’s past and present. Kind of a legacy cover.
It’s always great when David Nakayama had multiple covers in a week, it’s even better when it’s two from the same issue! That first one is his normal variant for the issue and the other one is the last of his 6 Spotlight issues. And of course the next Fornés cover in the middle.
I really like the creature and the background of this Flash issue. The details are fantastic! And I love this Gist cover for Green Arrow.
These are the two variants of JLU 2 that I liked the most.
I didn’t actually know that issue two would also be getting this UV foil treatment for a variant, so I guess the first issue variant is part of a set. It looks and feels great!
I just liked the designs and details of this one. I thought for a moment that it was showing the Trinity in their first costumes (going of Batman), but after I realized they weren’t, I just liked it anyway.
This GL Dark variant is cool! Reiko Murakami did a great job! And this Labyrinth cover is just gorgeous by Nimit Malavia.
Paolo Rivera did a fantastic job on the main cover for this issue. And, as always, Jenny Frison brings the beauty to the other variant, oh and let’s not forget the horror!
Galactus. That is all.
I love this Hanukkah cover with Kitty. It’s such a lovely representation of Jewish culture. Many people forget or don’t know that she’s always been Jewish.
I love all these covers! And that they’re all in my favorite Sabretooth costume is why they’re all here.
The detail on that main cover is amazing. And I love the second one’s colors. The third is just a fun Frank Miller cover.
Two fantastic variants for this issue! That second one is from the Casanovas set.
This one is just like an amazing painting from a gallery. This is by Puppeteer Lee. I don’t think I have anything from them, but I hope I see more!
A new Windowshades cover for Firestorm
I’ve been waiting for these covers! The main cover is of course amazing with two of my favorite time-traveling mutants. And the second one is a brilliant Nakayama cover showing some of my favorite colors that I see from him. Orange and green are always done very well. And of course seeing Kamala on there was a nice surprise! Though, she’s not in much of the issue, I did flip through a bit since I’m not sure when I’ll get to reading this.
Two DWM, two comic volumes (Ms. Marvel and X-Men 97’s prelude), Eiichiro Oda’s Wanted! manga volume, two variants and copies of two main covers from last time.
This is one of these vintage styled variants for Superman, they’re all 1:25 incentive covers, so I’ll only get this one.
