Posting a bit late this week

The next SW Insider, three main covers, and three variants. The Miles main cover again is just because it’s a two-title crossover and I usually get two copies of each issue to put them with both title’s runs. All the other comics here are here for their covers.

Loved the main cover for Zatanna 1. I actually hadn’t been planning on getting this Doctor Strange design variant, but seeing it in the store changed my mind. And I just really liked the Rey cover that celebrates a decade since Force Awakens.

Rahzzah is just such an amazing artist. Every time I see a cover, even ones I don’t get, I admire the work. This wraparound cover is just a masterpiece. This image was shared around well-before the issue came out, as always, and I knew I’d be getting multiples of these when they came out. I got three (one when the issue came out and two during this week). I also ordered a couple others of these covers that should be signed, but not sure if my shop will be able to get them. But yeah, I love this cover, and Rahzzah is doing all the main covers of this title. So, I can’t wait to get them all. Also, I’d get a poster of this if I could.

We got a Bruno Manheim story in Action Comics. As it says on the cover of Black Lightning, The Pierce Family strikes back! Something Darkseid this way comes in Aquaman. We got the next issue of Alien. And the next issue of Legacy of Vader dropped. Tony and Victor clash! I wonder why All-New Venom is clashing with MODOK! Miles and Wade cross blades in this penultimate issue of their mini crossover. Doom comes to Peter’s aid? X-Manhunt continued. And we got the next issue of Phoenix.

I got this cover because, well, Darksied Is. And of course the next one of Mera by Jenny Frison was a an obvious choice.

I love these Green Lantern Corps variants! Just everything about them.

I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to get this first cover or not, something about it wanted me to buy it, but I wasn’t sure. when I saw it in person, I was like oh, yeah I certainly will be taking this. The bright yellows and reds are a delight. And this main cover isn’t here because of the cover, it’s because it’s the 300th issue!

We got a Teen Titans GO! title! I’m intrigued by the Poison Ivy cover. A lot seems to be going on with JSA. We got a new title with Secret Six, a group of heroes who are not afraid to bend the rules. Dreamer is on the team and is also one of the co-writers, Nicole Maines debuts this new story. We got the next issue of Knights vs Samurai. I’m not sure where the next issue is coming. We got a new run of Darkwing Duck. The next What If Mickey one-shot. Spider-Boy seems to be having a relaxing time compared to the previous issue. Moon Knight and Tigra are a thing, I don’t think I knew that before now. I can’t wait to get to this Spider-Gwen arc!! It’ll take a long long time, but still! Wanda seems busy on that cover. It seems like Thor wants to have a word with Thanos beyond the grave. During One World under Doom, Doctor Strange has relocated to Asgard with a new run. We got a new Spider-verse one-shot. The six-part X-Men event spanning all titles is X-Manhunt where everyone is searching for Xavier. We got a new Star Wars title called Jedi Knights focusing on the main council members and some knights that takes place some time before Phantom Menace. And then the next issue of The Missionary dropped.

I guess I forgot to take the photo with both of them. But both covers are so great! Love getting Rian Gonzales covers when they’re not incentive covers. And I love this Frison cover with Dinah’s canary cry. Also, this week has more Frison’s covers than I’ve had in one week!

The main cover is of course one of the All In covers. the other two I do like the style of, but I got them more because Dreamer is on the covers. These will be in her character covers collection. The one with the mugshots in the background is by Brad Walker and Trish Mulvihill. And the last one is by Leirix.

Look at that Frison cover of Vampirella! There is a virgin variant coming at some point. This next disney avengers cover is by the legendary Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding. And this is even more cool because I’ve met them both as of last Fall. If I get to meet them again, I intend on getting it signed by them both. I love this Thor variant because of the glow effect and the reflection in the axe. And the Doctor Strange cover looks great!

Dauterman continues to do such a fantastic job on these main covers! Peach Momoko has a collection starting this week that are portraying characters in kimonos. Here’s one of the first! These two weeks got me 8/19 of them. I don’t know why it was decided to be 19 and not 20 or something, haha.

Y’all know I love when Kamala pops up on a variant, so when I get multiple covers with her on them, I’m very happy. Kamala looks so amazing on this kimono cover. I love the other seven I got this week, but I just really love this cover. And this other variant is part of a mugshot line-up collection for X-characters across all X-titles, but I won’t be getting many of them just because there relate too many! Though they are all by Phil Noto, and they all look great!

I love this Taurin Clarke cover of Adi Gallia! I can’t wait for the rest of these covers! And this Ahsoka cover by Yasmine Putri is so dynamic!

A great Andolfo variant!

Some late issues, the next DWM issues from months ago, a volume that came out a few months ago, and a bundle of variants that I ordered months ago.

Such a great Werneck cover for Storm! And Dan Mora has been doing a great job on these Power Ranger Prime covers. I wanted another of this one because I really like that particular Red Ranger from Power Rangers Samurai. And the last is a great Jonboy cover for Daredevil as Human Torch.

These are variants of volume 2 of Un/Sacred by Mirka Andolfo from 2020. I thoughts I had all the covers from that run, but I may have started to get all covers from her only with Sweet Paprika. But these are from a bundle offered by Ablaze. I’ll have to check and see if I did get any of these back then. When I preordered this bundle, I thought they’d be a bundle of new variants for the issues, but they’re all cover B’s, C’s and one D. Still nice to get.

Harley and Ivy deal with Professor Pyg. Detective Comics seems busy. Flash meets a dog? This is the last Doomsday issue for Superman. Dinah and Oliver are working out. I’m intrigued by everything on each of the Green Lantern Dark covers. We got a Women of Marvel special. TVA’s next issue dropped. Many X-adventures happened. Riri and Tony have an adventure. Doom continues to rule all. Red Hulk makes a return, of course as promotion for the Captain America movie. The next Ultimate X-Men issue debuted. And The Rise of Skywalker’s comic adaptation started.

Love these both! Homare is just a fantastic artist! Certainly a new favorite. And Flash looks great in this variant!

The final Doomsday issue! I have to say, I really want to know what he’s doing in a suit! Lois looks great from Szerdy! And another Doomsday cover! Though, I still don’t really like the curved horns on his head, but eh.

The main cover is here because of Riri of course. And I love Janet and Tony on this cover! Though I would have loved seeing Riri there in this style!

These were the Red Hulk variants I chose. The Meinerding cover looks great! And the blank variant is nice. Hmm, I wonder what I would have drawn on it.

This is just a fantastic cover!! Such detail! I feel like I’ve had one from this artist before, also a Star Wars cover. Love it! And of course the other variant is awesome, Sheev looks great!

And of course, the next bunch of Ultimate X-Men covers! I wonder how long this title will go for, I can’t wait to see them all together!

So. Many. Comics. Those ones at the bottom are literally balancing on the edge!

I guess there’s drama in Titans. I’m happy to see Grail in a Wonder Woman issue again. This issue of Challengers of the unknown looks cosmic, as does New Gods. Zatanna got a new run! Power Rangers Prime’s next issue dropped. We got the next Alien issue. We got a new Star Wars title called Fear of the Jedi, taking place in this current phase of the High Republic and it guest-stars Kelnacca from the Acolyte series. And we got the final issue of Ahsoka. Both Matt and Elektra are having unpleasant times in their respective issues. the new era of mutants continues. Laura has a visit from Elektra this issue. Infinity Watch got its next issue. And One World Under Doom continued!

The Titans cover just has a really well drawn image of Raven. And I love Christian Ward’s Challengers of the Unknown cover here. As usual, I love his cosmic designs.

Happy to see Grail on a cover! It’s been a while! Plus being on the main cover is nice. And of course this is the next great WW Nakayama cover.

Onto the next Ahsoka covers! Love these!

I got the main cover of this because of the creativity of Ultimate’s Wolverine reflected in Ultimate’s Colossus’ face. Brilliantly done by Alessandro Cappuccio and colored by Frank Martin. There is a virgin variant, but it’s a 1:100 incentive cover. And the variant here looks so great! Junggeun Yoon did a masterful job!

This Miles cover is here just because of Ellie in the background. Love this Vecchio cover of Felicia Hardy as a Black Cat Human Torch! I’d get this as a poster.

There were a lot of these Enchanted covers again this week, I can’t wait to see them all together! And of course Leirix did Emma Frost very well.

Black Mask and Alfred adorning the Absolute Batman cover. I wonder what’s going on with Atomic Skull in Action Comics. Black Lightning seems to not be having a good day. We got a new Green Lanterns run. The Bad Batch debut their first comic book title! Spider-Girl seems to be enjoying herself in Spider-Boy’s issue. The conflict between Wade and Miles continues. The next issue of New Champions dropped. Eddie Brock is Carnage?? I guess so! Thor seems be having a tough time with these other gods. Peter continues to be web-deep in magical problems. And Doom rules all finally in the start of the One World under Doom event. Cable’s miniseries continued. And, Kamala got a wordless special focusing on some of Marvel’s famous pets.

This is just one of those Superman covers that represents him in every way. Love this so much. I probably will frame this if I don’t get it slabbed.

Love these!! And always nice to have a blank cover. I like that the Szerdy cover got a normal and foil treatment.

The main cover of this just looked so cool, I had to get it. The details in the webbing were great! And the other cover is an Andolfo, which is a must.

The next main Deadpool cover and one of the enchanted (fairytale) style covers. There were a lot of these this week and last. Since they all look so good next to each other I decided to just wait till the completed collections post to show any of them side-by-side.

Love this New Champions variant by Derrick Chew!!

The moment I saw the main cover I recognized the design from some months before this of a Venom cover. So, I guess they’re a pair! And I like this Todd Nauck cover of a classic Carnage design.

So happy that there’s something with Kamala! Though I know that this is essentially a textless story, it’s still fun! Love the main cover of course, but the other one is lovely too.

Poster!

I completely forgot to post! I took the photos days ago and just so much was happening with the movie and other things that I plum forgot.

I don’t know who Commander Star is, but Bruce has a problem with him. Superman in Absolute Superman certainly isn’t having a good time. Baby-Doll has Two-Face? Is that Kushala and Jonny together on that cover? Both Electro’s battle both Spider-Men. Black Cat is having a good time being an Avenger. And she’s also paying a visit to Wanda and Darcy. I’m not sure which goes first, but I’ll figure it out eventually. Almost at the end of Phoenix. Wolverine is busy with much snikting. We got the start of a miniseries following Kylo Ren called the Legacy of Vader. And Luke Cage got a special as connected to Timeless.

One of Star Wars’ Black History Month covers featuring Mother Aniseya from the Acolyte show. A Falcon and Capt cover promoting the new movie. This Ultimates cover I wanted just because of America Chavez being there. And I love this Rahzzah cover for Absolute Superman!

Another fun InHyuk- Lee cover with Billy and Shazam. and a great Spears cover with Mr. Mind and Shazam.

These issues were interesting in that they were double-sided. one part of the story reads in one direction and flip over for the other half of the story. And they meet in the middle. So, the covers also are either similar or the same. Frison putting out amazing work as always. And Villalobos and Moussa made a great playing card-style cover.

This Jessica Fong wraparound is wonderful in both normal and foil versions! It’s funny that these covers also double as connecting covers.
