Completed Variant Sets 33 — March 1, 2026

Alan Quah did such an amazing job with this design! And as usual, I’m sad that they don’t connect properly. These were all overlapped. But the designs are just so detailed! I love them!

The overlap wasn’t huge, but still frustrating. But they look good like this, mostly.

Taurin Clarke with the Black History Month set. Now, this, I don’t understand. Why on earth are the shades of colors different between issues? How is that not a QC problem? The images were drawn as one image, why would you allow this kind of color difference for mass production? I assume time is the reason and QC didn’t have much or any time.

I think there wasn’t much overlap, but the color difference was far too distracting. But they all look amazing next to each other!

I do enjoy when Doctor Who does photo variants for its comics. It’s a nice way to get some promo photos!

These covers were so wonderful to see! Even though apparently most of these battles don’t happen in the story, but they look so good on these covers! I watched the 80’s/90’s’s TMNT cartoon and then the 2003 one mainly. I’ve watched a bit of some of the other ones and the movies too. I haven’t read any of the classic comics though.

The first issue of this also had a similar team vs team design, but it was the villains of the story on the right, and I just wanted to see the turtle teams. The first cover here is by Dan Schoening and Louie Joyce showing the first live-action turtles vs the most recent Mutant Mayhem turtles. The next variant is by Andy Suriano and Jim Lawson showing turtles from the first comic run vs the Rise of the TMNT’s animated series. The next one is by Dan Schoening, Luis Antonio Delgado, Ken Mitchroney and Heather Breckel showing the 1987 cartoon turtles vs the Saturday morning adventures comic turtles. The final cover is by Ciro Nieli and Luis Antonio Delgado showing the 2003 animated series turtles vs the present day comic turtles.

Love these Inhyuk Lee variants! I thought there were more of these covers but nope, just three.

I kind of wish that the yellow design in the background connected somehow. But they look great!

After this sorting, I added 3 boxes. So we’re at 112!

February 25, 2026

We got a one-shot New DC History special focusing on the Dakota Incident. Hal popped the question? Harley had romantic troubles. DC KO is almost over. Ursula from The Little Mermaid, got a title. The next bunch of mutant titles dropped. Punisher started a new run. The Death Spiral event in Spidey and Venom books got started. And Star Wars Insider celebrated the 10th anniversary of Rogue One. Also, it’s INSANE that the plot of Inglorious X-Force centers around Kamala Khan and she’s on one single variant cover of this run so far. It’s insulting to Ms. Marvel, frankly.

Diego Olortegul did the main cover for this issue, of course I liked it because it was similar to the other NHotDCU covers from a few months ago. And the variant is an homage cover by Yasmine Putri giving tribute to the classic cover of 52 #1 (2006).

Taurin Clarke did John Stewart good!

The next Nakayama variant and Inhyuk Lee variant.

John Giang did an amazing job with this variant!

Doomsday is back on this main cover. And the other is a connecting cover by Guillem March.

Mirka Andolfo did the main cover for this, and it looks great! And so does this variant by Shatoki Shiki.

InHyuk Lee doing another great job on this variant. And the main cover of this Hulk issue is by Nic Klein.

The next Psylocke covers! The main cover by Derrick Chew. The next stunning variant is by Joshua Swaby. InHyuk Lee putting out another variant with that next one. And Rickie Yagawa giving us a nice one at the end.

The next covers for Sorcerer Supreme. The main by Leirix of course. The first variant is by Dauterman. And the last one is the next Red Block variant.

Love this Momoko variant for Wiccan.

This variant is by ACO. And this X-Force variant is by Ian Churchill.

This is a Rogue One decade anniversary variant for Star Wars Insider

February 18, 2026

We met Absolute Poison Ivy! This team of Titans changes next issue. We got the last Doctor Who comic of this run. Daredevil and Jeff hung out. X-Men 25 is the epilogue of the Age of Revelation. Morbius dropped by Jubilee. Laura and Gabby got a new title together. Ultimate Spider-Man ended this run. We got a new title with Deadly Hands of K’un-Lun. And Black Panther got a 60th anniversary special.

A fun Nightwing variant by Dave Johnson! A cute Gurihiru main cover! Phil Noto gave us this Knull variant.

X-Men 25 variants. The next Red Block variant. A great Vecchio variant of Magik. And a fantastic Phoenix variant by Dotemu and Tribute Games.

Delio Diaz did an amazing job with this cover! I thought this was Taurin Clarke art at first.

Skottie Young did this split variant. And JeeHyung Lee did this gorgeous variant of Laura.

I don’t think I have any Joe Jusko covers, but either way, this is a great cover! I actually thought that this was somehow a vertical gatefold cover? The way the preview image was uploaded was very long-looking. And here’s Jonny(!) on this Red Block from Nakayama.

This Bermejo cover is intense and amazing! I’m not sure if any cover has had this moment from Peter’s life, but it’s so well drawn and colored! And the next Red Block.

The next Sai covers. Momoko is the main of course. And I totally forgot that this second cover was a Gurihiru one. And I don’t think I’ve seen a Natacha Bustos in a while.

Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding doing a great job with Red Hulk!

The final covers I chose for Ultimate Spider-Man. The main cover is by Marco Checchetto and colored by Matt Wilson. The Ultimate Finale variant is by Marcos Martín. And Elizabeth Torque did this photos variant colored by Jim Campbell II.

I thought this was a legacy cover. But it wasn’t. It’s a nice cover by Adam Kubert.

Matheus Manhanini did this fantastic main cover.

Completed Variant Sets 32 — February 15, 2026

It’s one of those odd connecting variants which get release backwards. But these are great! Of course they’re by Peach Momoko. And of course they don’t connect properly. They both misalign and overlap. This could have been a great wraparound for the final issue!

These are the Bat-Gadgets variants from Jorge Jiménes!

I kind of would have loved if all these connected but in a weird way so they looked like a pile of things all next to each other. But these all look so good!

Still no new boxes, so still at 109.

February 11, 2026

Kara’s love-life caused her strife. Clark returned to War World. C.O.R.T. ended. Sirens started a new Black Label title. DC KO continued. Hello Darkness gave us a one-shot. This Ultimate X-Men run ended with issue 24. Moon Knight got a new run and so did Deadpool and Cyclops. And Jar Jar Binks got his first ever comic title!

The next Supergirl variants. First by Elizabeth Torque and colored by Sabine Rich. Next by Amy Reeder. And the last one by Joe Quinones.

These are all such fantastic covers! The main cover (and interior art) is by Babs Tarr. The second is by the wonderful Sozomaika! And the last one is by the amazing Tula Lotay.

Nathan Szerdy did a great job with this Aquaman variant. Aaron Bartling gave us an intense Darksied variant. Stjepan Šejić did this cover for the Witchblade annual. And we got a spin-off one-shot from Hello Darkness.

Such gorgeous covers! The main cover is by Adam Hughes of course. Ivan Talavera did the second one and the third is by Kaare Andrews.

These are the final covers for Ultimate X-Men!

The final main cover.

This is a fantastic main cover for a new run of Moon Knight by Gist.

A couple Deadpool variants. Skottie Young and David Nakayama’s next Red Block variant.

A great variant by Hicham Habchi!

Taurin Clarke giving us Jar Jar on the main cover. Dave Wachter having Jar Jar and Kelleran Beq together in the first variant. And Taurin Clarke gave us an amazing Black History Month connecting variant.

February 4, 2026

We got a Valentine’s special from DC. We got a big multiversal battle in Boss Battle where characters from oter Warner Brothers properties battled DC’s heroes as part of DC KO. Godzilla’s Marvel crossover continued with a new title called Godzilla: Infinity Roar. Gargoyles crossed-over with Darkwing Duck. Supernatural got a Valentine’s Day special. Planet of the Apes crossed-over with The Fantastic Four in a new miniseries. This Avengers run reached its 35th issue. Logan was dealing with Alpha Flight. Storm got a new miniseries. Magik and Colossus got a new miniseries. And we got a treasury edition reprinting of Superman and Spider-Man from 1981.

This fantastic Poison Ivy variant is by a new artist, for me, Chay Ruby. I love the colors and details. The Absolute Superman variant is by InHyuk Lee. Jorge Fornés did this great Batgirl variant.

These are the variants for the Valentine’s Day special.

This one is another of the side-by-side fighter video game variants by Juan Ferreyra.

This is an Andolfo variant of Livewire.

This is a very detailed variant by Yasmine Putri.

The main cover and two of the variants for this crossover issue.

The main cover is just so detailed with so many characters! Thank you Jamal Campbell!

Jeff Spokes gave us this wonderful foil variant!

The blank variant.

Knullified Godzilla! The first by Josemaria Casanovas and the second by Ryan Stegman.

The main cover and two variants. The first a blank of course, and the second is great one by Ivan Bigarella.

This Godzilla main cover is by Jonathan Uribe. The color and detailed scales on him looking amazing! And this homage variant is paying tribute to a classic Planet of the Apes poster, though I’m not sure which one it is. This is by Germán Peralta.

Here’s the next Dauterman connecting cover. And here’s the next Nakayama Red (Hulk) cover!

These Storm covers are amazing.

The main cover is just gorgeous. It’s by R.B. Silva and colored by David Curiel. And the variant is by Dike Ruan. I love the use of white space for Ororo’s hair.

February 2026 Late Issues

Late variants for Capt 6, the new Psylocke issue and the new Iron Man issue.

When I first preordered this, I didn’t know what was on the cover, it just said it was an Agents of SHIELD variant. So, I hoped that it was something to do with the show or some characters or something. I also never checked back on the cover before I came in to buy my issues that week. Though, seeing it in person did have me liking it enough to keep. I love all the detail of the art. It’s by Delio Diaz.

These are the other Psylocke variants that I liked.

The first is a Skottie Young variant, the next foil cover is by Dike Ruan. It looks amazing! There’s a non-foil version of that cover but it’s a 1:25 incentive variant. And the third one is TCG variant by Juan Frigeri.

This foil variant is by Declan Shalvey. I love the look of this!

Completed Variant Sets 31 — February 12, 2026

Three of these collections have been ready for a bit, but for different reasons, I hadn’t gotten to them yet.

These are all the “All-In” covers for this current era of DC (a new era is coming soon). So many issues!

There have been new titles that came out after Justice League Red but they didn’t get main covers like these. So I’ve been waiting to see if there would be another one and there doesn’t seem to be one. They look great together! Man, can you imagine us getting tons of character posters like these for James Gunn’s DCU characters? Can’t wait!

It’s always nice to have an artist I love doing main covers of characters I love! Russell Dauterman gave us some great covers for this Vision and Scarlet Witch.

Such a great story being told just from the covers!

We’re back for more InHyuk Lee Streetwear covers! I’ve LOVED these designs since his first sets of them a few years ago. They’re on here. You could probably search Streetwear and InHyuk Lee and they’d show up. I would read a miniseries or watch an animated movie surrounding these versions of these characters.

I mean look how amazing these look together!!

Even if only 5 issues, I loved having these animation variants! They always made me think about the original show.

I do wonder if they intend to make another run of this since having covers with protagonists on them, besides Spidey, would be fun too.

Even after all these posts, there haven’t yet been any new boxes. So the number is still at 109 boxes. That may change this weekend.

January 28, 2026

Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Batman continue to be grumpy. Barry needed help from Hal. Harley is sky-high. We got to meet Absolute Zatanna! DC KO continued with a bunch of issues! We got an Valentine’s Day anthology from DC featuring Kara. We got a new run for Skull Island. Marvel Zombies: Red Band ended. ASM got it’s annual for this year. Iron Man got a new run started, even though we just started one a year ago. Miles Morales also ended his run. It’s been a great 42-issue run!

The next Nakayama and InHyuk Lee covers for Harley.

Absolute Zatanna looks great on this cover. Batman looks amazing on this Barends variant! And there’s more Red Canary on that JLR cover.

The next Leirix variant for Harley and Ivy. And I got the foil version of the Putri variant.

I may get the non-foil version, not sure.

Eom gave us this Lois Lane variant. And I almost didn’t realize this was part of the punk rock set of variants. This one is by Dave Johnson.

Ben Harvey did this swimsuit variant. And Juni Ba did the other variant.

Amy Reeder has been doing great on some of the main title Supergirl variants. This main cover is by her. And the variant is by Alexander Lozano.

Got a blank variant for Skull Island. Orange rocks. We got the next Frison variant for Hello Darkness. Koblish gave us a retro Zombie Knull variant on Marvel Zombies 5. And The End 2099 showed us the fusion of Knull and Galactus!

The next covers for Sorcerer Supreme! The covers are as follows, the main cover, Dauterman, Frison, Pramanik and Malavia.

I love this Frison cover! And as I was putting it away, I saw the Lorna variant of hers and they look so good together! They’re in a similar pose and such. I always like seeing Nimit Malavia covers.

Okay, this Melinda May cover was by Talavera and it looks amazing! Rescue looks great and May is staring into me. And I actually wasn’t sure if I’d wanted this Skottie Young connecting variant since I didn’t want the set, but it’s a fun first cover. And Adam Kubert did a great promo design that shows so many characters in Tony’s life.

This Miles Morales run has come to an end. Ending on issue 42 of course. These are the variants that I liked the most. This Taurin Clarke cover is amazing. I really might get another copy of it since it’s just so good. I got it for the legacy of Miles, but the art just looks gorgeous. And the other variant is a nice homage to the past.

Posters!

Nice to have this fun cover as a poster! Thank you to Babs Tarr!

This Umberto Ramos cover makes for a creepy fun poster, haha!
