Another un-posted photo (now that I think about it, the way I’m searching for these on my twitter might make these supposed un-posted photos not show up for some reason, but I’m not sure).

Selina was busy with things, the Otherkind made themselves known in JLD, Hawkman discovered a Kryptonian past incarnation of himself (as he was being bounced all over time and space in the minds of his past selves during this run), at this time, Superboy (Jon Kent) had aged up after having a lot happen to him over lost years, Flash met the Sage Force avatar, we met the Grim Knight in Batman Who Laughs next issue, Kid Loki was scheming in Asgardians of the Galaxy, The Age of the Republic got its one-shot, Black Widow got a new run, X-Man was doing crazy stuff in Uncanny X-Men (getting ready for an event), Riri was getting used to her new suit, and Doom was getting an upgrade.

Aquaman

December 20, 2018 – Aquaman. I enjoyed it! The battles were epic, though there were some awesome moments that I wish hadn’t been in the trailers so they could be even more epic in the movie. Definitely one specific one. But still cool XD, his journey was nice to see. Mera was awesome, of course XD. Ocean Master and Black Manta were great adversaries. One surprise was pretty cool, I wasn’t 100% surprised, but I was surprised enough. The big battle in the third act was crazy! It reminded me of LOTR. The final fight was pretty cool.

So, it wasn’t as definitely amazing as Wonder Woman was to me after the first viewing, but it was definitely a good time. I’ll be interested to see what a sequel would be like if we get that (we will be).

And there is a mid-credit scene and no end-credit scene.

December 19, 2018

This was after Stan Lee passed, so Marvel had banners on its comics in honor of him ❤

The Nightwings group were having trouble, we got the origin of Crush, Deadpool had a holiday issue, Weapon H was busy, Punisher was taking out remaining HYDRA cells, working his way up, the War of the Realms was almost here in Thor, a fallen Guardian, Cosmic Spider-Man showed up to help in Spidergeddon (if I remember correctly, that goes very badly), the end of the Extermination event finally saw the young versions of the original X-Men return to their time (this issue was a bit late since last time had an epilogue issue dealing with the deaths that happened during this event namely, Cable’s), Champions got an annual and, Exiles introduced OLD WOMAN KAMALA (obviously I was very excited)!! Movie next!

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (2018)

December 14, 2018 – Spider-man: Into The Spider-verse. So. Damn. Good. I enjoyed the story. The animation was AMAZING. Even better than I thought it would be. Oh, and I saw it in 3D, so it was extra cool. The story was it’s own thing and that was great. Each Spider was brilliant, and if you enjoy one of them, I think they do each one justice. Miles’ journey is well done too. Both sides of his ethnicity were shown and I liked that. He had some tough moments and once he figures things out, it is spectacular, pun obviously intended. Oh and Aunt May was brilliant XD.

The Stan Lee cameo was lovely. And the words he said, unthinkably sad considering he’s gone, but also wonderful to hear. His passing was also acknowledged officially in the mid-credits.

I’m so ready for a sequel (glad we got a name and date now). FYI, the end-credit scene? Watch it. Literally had some people behind me mention someone who they wished was in the movie and boom, there that character was, with a wee twist that led to the funny XD

Go watch the movie!! XD (It’s 3.75 years later and I still suggest you watch it again!)

December 12, 2018

Hawkman learned about millions more past lives than he ever knew about, Kyle Rayner shows up to assist the Titans, Flash meets the avatar of the Strength Force (Fuerza), the countdown to Detective Comics #1000 began, this run of Supergirl got to its 25th issue, Batman Damned’s second issue dropped, Batman Who Laughs got a miniseries showing more of his origin, Maul got a one-shot, the next issues of that fantasy arc of Champions dropped, we got the Marvel Legacy special issue, ah yes, Thor and She-Hulk had a fling for a while that started here, oh, in all this time (11 issues) I forgot to mention the new Indian mutant in X-Men Red named Trinary, she’s a technopath, she’s great, Miles got a new run, Spidergeddon was still going, Sleepwalker existed outside of the Infinity Warps event so he was trying to his normal vessel to notice that he was fused with Nick Fury, and an actual wedding that happened, Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters finally got married!
