Deapool got a “choose your own adventure” type issue, Rogue and Gambit still going strong, Captain America had a story taking place in the future, Peter was not doing well, Bendis’s final issues of Miles Morales dropped, and Avengers started a new #1 with a new team (which is basically the current team still, for now).

This was a lot of comics that day. The Darkstars were taking over from the Green Lanterns, Wally reveals himself to people who used to know him, Diana had family problems, Moon Girl helps Ben and Johnny, Exiles debuted a version of the MCU’s Valkyrie (the name of whom we’d learn a couple years later), Venomized introduced a Poison’d Thanos, Mepisto was in the lead in Damnation, the Hunt for Wolverine had begun, Marvel Rising had its debut issue, and Jane was dealing with her mortality. There was just a lot of drama everywhere XD. Movie next!

The Gift had started, Action Comics #1000 came out (I got one of all the covers my store had, and 3 days later I bought one copy of the main cover for one of the podcast hosts for the DC comics podcast that I watched since he had a restaurant opening a location around he corner from my store and was there for the opening), Weapon H had some Wendigo problems, Hulk was extra angry, No Surrender and Infinity Countdown were chugging along, a wedding was in the works for Kate and Piotr, enter the Red Goblin, and Kamala was enjoying her Red Dagger visiting Jersey City.

Donna was having trouble controlling herself, Central City was having all sorts of trouble, and Darkseid being himself. Ah right, the Immortal Men had started, that was an interesting series, I would have liked it to continue past its first arc. Supergirl’s final issue (in a continuous run, last year Kara got a miniseries which just ended), Domino got a new run, I love Domino’s comics, Deadpool was having trouble with literally everyone XD, X-Men Blue got a new team since the kids from the past got lost in space dealing with Symbiotes and Poisons, Thanos and King Thanos were not exactly on the same page, the Champions started a new run, and Captain America got to his 700th issue.

There was a Doctor Who convention the weekend before the 28th and I had another convention between these two weeks, so I waited till April 4 to get two week’s worth. The first image is from March 28, the second from April 4 and the third is variants and such from the past weeks and months.

Etrigan was having a hell of a time (pun intended), Flash was having trouble, Diana was still dealing with Darkseid and co, Terrifics were all over the place, The Champions were feeling disillusioned, No Surrender was ending, Dark Knights were rising and pancakes were had.

So many supermen, Slade and Bruce, the Bat/Cat wedding was imminent, while Rogue and Gambit’s vacation was still nuts, relationships were blossoming in Runaways, Venomized had begun and Black Bolt was ending, plus we had a flash of a potential future with Wolverine (Laura) and friends were dealing with future drama.

Weapon H got a title all his own, Gwen was dealing with symbiote stuff still, drama in Runaways, drama in Cable, some X-Men in prison, Clint and Bucky trying to figure out Black Widow things, Mighty Thor was ramping up, Kamala’s friends were stepping up for her, and Mephisto was busy plotting even while locked away.

Diana vs Grail, I always forget that Loki and Squirrel Girl are friends, alternate Vampire Storm, Damnation going strong, Thrawn continuing and I think this was the big Hulk reveal in No Surrender.

I remember that in that Superman issue (and others that followed) I had trouble reading Bizarro’s way of talking in opposites. You think you get it but then a sentence doesn’t makes sense when you thought you understood it then you’re like ahhhhhh!!! XD Though I can’t imagine writing all that dialogue, or maybe they wrote it in correct way around and then swapped it. Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man got to issue 300 and Green Goblin returned.

Another title under the New Age of Heroes was The Terrifics. That was a fun weird team-up romp. It was just fun XD, I mean some drama too. Spider-Gwen went Venom! More glorious Gwenpool! Captain Marvel still dealing with another universe, Galactus came for King Thanos in the future, and I love that the Champions roster grew and grew. ^__^

The Brave and the Bold was a fantasy story that intrigued me, Amadeus Cho went to Planet Hulk, This Defenders run ended, and I certainly loved those final few pages (THAT SPLASH PAGE!!!), Oh right, I forgot about the Poisons event, that was a cool concept. Ah yes, Damnation was starting! That was a fun event! And also Infinity Countdown was getting ready to start so many stories. The aftermath of that whole event is still playing out in comics today. Oh and that was also the last issue of Generation X.
