This time the variants come first since most of these were from the previous week. I got all the Fuji cat variants since they are adorable. Those Star Wars one-shots had concept art variants, so I always got those. That Wonder Woman one had foil for the lasso, so good! new comics in the second image.

1 week till WOTR, Moon Girl met Sleepwalker, Rogue and Gambit relived some glory years, Doctor Strange had to deal with Galactus and it didn’t go quite the way he had planned, Secrets all over the AOX, The Hunted was a nightmare for Peter, the FF met Doom’s new herald, Riri was against an enemy who could take control of tech, Shazam and his siblings were in trouble, JLO had to deal with Blackfire, Waller was mad at Superman, Superman tried to stop Booster and Harley, the H-Dial was reintroduced in the world with a new title (a while back we entered the age of Wonder Comics where some new and returning titles appeared), and Detective Comics hit its 1000th issue (got all the decade variants of course).

Joker’s daughter after the Nightwings, the JL was in a possible future with a JL who had saved the world for good…,The Terminus Agenda was going down, Naomi learn who she is, Maker was messing with Venom, Thor was dealing with troubles throughout the Nine Realms, Carol and others were still trapped in the time bubble, the AOX was still going, and so was Infinity Watch, and we got the first issue of Spider-Man: Life Story (a fantastic take on a marvel character where they start the story when the character debuted and have them live as hey would if they had lived in real time till present day). They’ve done this with a couple other characters now and I sill have to buy them. Loved this one though. Variants in the next photo.

At this time I tended to get covers with Slade on them.

They made a connecting cover out of one issue. Loved this!

The Wonder Twins were dealing with some villains, The Trickster was messing with Barry, Kara had some clone problems, Diana called Giganta for help, we got an origin for The Grim Knight, Doreen was dealing with Kang in her 50th (42nd) issue, General Grievous got a one-shot, OM Quill had caught Doom’s attention, AOX gave us Prisoner X and Apocalypse and the X-Tracts (yes he became a leader of a hippie drug cult), The Hunted continued, Ms. Marvel got her new run with a return to a classic title.

I wished a Happy 5 Years to Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan). And Farewell to G. Willow Wilson as being part of the creative team. This is what I wrote to G. Willow Wilson, Sana Amanat, Jamie McKelvie, Adrian Alphono, Saladin Ahmed and Minkyu Jung back then:

I’m a bit late on this post but it’s been a convention weekend. Here they are. I’m only missing the other hardcovers.Thank you all for all of this utter magic. Kamala Khan’s been amazing through you all Ms. Marvel had me at Page 1. From here to here. In these 5 years, I have enjoyed watching Kamala grow and change and understand herself and the world around her more and more. She has become a leader and has begun to truly understand how her powers work. Issue 38 was lovely. I enjoyed all Ms. Marvel’s guest artists. And I am excited to see what is to come from Saladin Ahmed and Minkyu Jung. Also, in the first photos: I added Captain Marvel 14, then the mostly official Ms. Marvel merch below all the issues and also in the top right corner. Again, thank you all.

And of course by now, there have been even more issues and merch. I will probably do another post when we get to the decade anniversary in 2024.

Hawkman vs the Deathbringers (that issue 3 was there because I had forgotten to get it when it came out and only noticed hen I was reading an issue an realized I’d missed one), Darkseid’s plans falling into place, Beast Boy hulks out, Jon Kent return properly and is a bit out of control, the Wonder Twins start as interns at the Hall of Justice in a new run for them, The rice continues with a character didn’t expect since I thought this was connected to something else entirely, Batman Who Laughs continues with his origin story, the Runaways rock some evil duds as they must pretend to be the evil offspring their parent had hoped they’d become, Thor and Odin have bonding time, Captain Marvel’s arc this run was one of time and a future in a bubble that would eventually spawn a new villain for the Marvel universe, Next Gen started within the Age of X-Man, Dooku got a one-shot, Avengers No Road Home started (basically like a sequel event to No Surrender), Ironheart still figuring things out, and finally, Ms. Marvel had its 57th issue which both celebrated 5 years of Kamala, and the departure of G. Willow Wilson being on the creative team. I added that photo at the end to have her first and last issue of her co-created character’s book. There will be a post celebrating Ms. Marvel’s first 5 years later. I had a convention that weekend, so it took a while to get to arranging and taking the photos. The second photo is of variants.

Deathstroke escaped…, Oliver and Dinah were in trouble, Harley had an adventure with Batman, Female Furies got a miniseries, The Price mini event started, WOTR was two months away, Laura and Gabby were having differences of opinion about certain clones, Tony was still reeling from all the brotherly love, Champions were having drama, Daredevil started a new run, Old Man Quill started, oh, that’s right, Cyclops was one of the mutants not brought into the Age of X-Man and the world thought they’d all died in Uncanny X-Men, while in Marvelous X-Men things were quite odd, Anakin got a one-shot and that second image is of that week’s Unnatural but I had already piled the comics before seeing I missed one for the photo. And the last photo is of the variants.
