Diana vs Grail, I always forget that Loki and Squirrel Girl are friends, alternate Vampire Storm, Damnation going strong, Thrawn continuing and I think this was the big Hulk reveal in No Surrender.

I remember that in that Superman issue (and others that followed) I had trouble reading Bizarro’s way of talking in opposites. You think you get it but then a sentence doesn’t makes sense when you thought you understood it then you’re like ahhhhhh!!! XD Though I can’t imagine writing all that dialogue, or maybe they wrote it in correct way around and then swapped it. Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man got to issue 300 and Green Goblin returned.

Another title under the New Age of Heroes was The Terrifics. That was a fun weird team-up romp. It was just fun XD, I mean some drama too. Spider-Gwen went Venom! More glorious Gwenpool! Captain Marvel still dealing with another universe, Galactus came for King Thanos in the future, and I love that the Champions roster grew and grew. ^__^

The Brave and the Bold was a fantasy story that intrigued me, Amadeus Cho went to Planet Hulk, This Defenders run ended, and I certainly loved those final few pages (THAT SPLASH PAGE!!!), Oh right, I forgot about the Poisons event, that was a cool concept. Ah yes, Damnation was starting! That was a fun event! And also Infinity Countdown was getting ready to start so many stories. The aftermath of that whole event is still playing out in comics today. Oh and that was also the last issue of Generation X.

Another photo I never posted! Gahhh! Oh. Right. The Milk Wars. That was a WEIRD crossover I still don’t understand XD. Ah! Sideways, that’s that character from the New Age of Heroes that I mentioned liking before since he interacts with a DC Cosmic being. Also because his powers are similar to America Chavez’s multiversal traversing powers. Oh right and Falcon was dealing with freaking Blackheart of all characters! I remember a splash page from that run showing Mephisto and other evil characters talking about their plans amongst each other and Blackheart not getting a seat at the table. It was a cool scene. Oh and there’s the X-Men Red A Cover that I didn’t get the previous week in the third row. Oh wow! I totally forgot that Logan was dead for a long while at this time, hence Marvel being able to have Old Man Logan hanging around for a while and Laura taking the mantle of Wolverine. On the cover of the No Surrender issue in this photo (and other random comics) they’d have that Wolverine symbol and it meant we got a little end-credit scene of sorts of Logan somewhere doing something since he had somehow returned from how he died in The Death of Wolverine event some time before Secret Wars. So that was always fun to see on an issue. Ah yes and this was the day we got our first Thrawn comic as a title which was based off of the recent Thrawn novel. It was wonderful being able to see that story play out.

Oh yeah the Rogue and Gambit miniseries! That was fantastic! She-Hulk was going through it, and X-Men Red started with a reborn Jean Grey.

Ah yes, Silencer was a part of The New Age of Heroes that DC attempted to make popular and it did not go well, a couple characters have showed up in other titles, but mostly, that era bombed. Personally, I enjoyed a couple of the characters. One interacted with a DC cosmic being, so I of course loved that, Silencer was pretty interesting and surprisingly, some time after this new era had come and gone, Silencer showed up on the CW’s Arrow in its sixth season. Thing and Human Torch were still searching the multiverse for the Richards’ family, Carol was dealing with an alternate universe’s Reality Gem, and just a lot of things as usual were happening.

So many great looking issues!! A new Raven series, double X-Men Blue, Johnny and Ben have started their quest to find Reed, Sue and the kids since they’re been gone and presumed dead since Secret Wars (when really they were literally remaking the universe after it all went to hell during that event), Zod was having some fun in Action Comics, Legion got a new run, King Thanos made his debut (a fantastic story arc when present day Thanos got sent forward in time to a potential future Thanos who had killed almost everyone in the universe to appease his love, Lady Death), The Inhumans went through a truly horrific series of events as the Progenitors arrived to proclaim judgement. Also, Flash 700 smashed its way here with Godd.

Hmm, I seem to have gotten these all at my LCBS but I got them the Monday before the normal NCB Wednesday of that week. I have no idea why XD. But there they are. Gwenpool was diving into her meta comic book powers, Vader and Jocasta still fighting, oh look, there’s the Daredevil arc of Fisk becoming Mayor of NYC that I mentioned a while ago, and Old Man Hawkeye 1 (it takes place before the original Old Man Logan run and tells the tale of when Hawkeye started to lose his sight).

I went to my best friend’s wedding the week before, so, got these two week’s piles on the week of the 18th. Just a lot going on XD. The Superwoman title ended in that first week. That was quite the miniseries. Though these weeks are when the No Surrender event started in the Avengers title. That was a funky event. It was hinted at in the Legacy special issue that came after the Generations issues if I’m remembering correctly.
